Started to read The Hunger Games Tuesday night and finished it last night (Wednesday). I couldn't put the book down!
This is the exact reason I hesitate to read a good book, because then my finishing the book becomes top priority and nothing else gets done. Luckily, it only took me about a day to finish, so I'm not too far behind on things around the house (though now I still have a second and third book to read of the series).
Anyway, I wanted to highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a good book to read. My husband and I like to read books together. Meaning, he'll read it out loud and I snuggle up to him and listen (we used to take turns reading out loud, but then I found out that James doesn't like how I pronounce some words). We've done this since we were engaged and it is one of my favorite past times with my husband.
I did read this one on my own, but want to read the next one together with my husband. I don't know if either of us can wait patiently for the other one to finish it.
good, isn't it? i'm in the middle of the second one right now...
ReplyDeleteOhh you read it!! Nick made me promise to read it and I don't think I can ever read another book again till all my kids are out of the house! I get way too into it. I just had to read all three books in the series right away and I'm glad that's over. They're just too good I guess. A movie of them would be great.
ReplyDeleteHaha. Nice! I read the 1st book this summer and the read it to mom. Then I read the second one to here on a road trip. Then I turned around 3 weeks later and read the 1st and 2nd books again to Mike. When the 3rd book came out I read it the first day then read it to Mike. LOL. Does that make sense? Basically I liked those books a ton and read them to a lot of people!
ReplyDeletewe <3 to read together to. I'm trying to read the whole Harry Potter series to Mike, but studying has been getting in out way :(
I love the Hunger Games!
