Four Wardrobe Changes: Outfit #2

This wardrobe change is more of an underwear/diaper party, while clothes are drying in the dryer from playing outside with pool water.

Jon and James playing a card game called, Magic! Love my dorky husband and brothers! I think this is one of the most exciting things they were looking forward to doing during the visit.

Crazy girls!

Uncle James is the best! James takes a lot of time to play with the kids, which always warms my heart. It's something I think they will always look back and remember that their Uncle James took time to play with them :)

Sage ends up running off with Tali's blankyat the end of the video, the little stinker.

Four Wardrobe Changes: Outfit #1

We had a quick day in Logan with Jon and my family. The good thing is that I took TONS of pictures and videos. So much so, I decided to split up the day into four different posts. I chose four because Sage had four different wardrobe changes that day lol.

So, Sage's first outfit...

Playing outside for a bit in the morning.

Hanging out in the yard...

Sage LOVES to roll around in this car! Her favorite. She likes to pretend that she's leaving everyone to go to the store and brings us back groceries.

Cute Raden.

Tali and Sage conversing...

Sharing pizza for lunch...

Playing in the pool water! They were collecting water from the pool and pouring it out on the driveway to make a big puddle. They were working hard on this project together.

Raden is so funny how he just follows along when things get exciting.

I tried to get them on video running back and forth excitedly while making their puddle, but then Tali and Sage kind of collided turning around to run back and Sage fell down and started crying. Then Tali started crying because she felt guilty I think, though it was just an accident. Anyway, I tried to cut the video short before all that.

Okay, that's all the happenings that I got while Sage was in that first outfit of the day... three more outfit changes to go!

Uncle Jon!

We got to see Uncle Jon for a couple of days! We loved our time with him! We walked over to the Yogurt Shop, I think that is what it's called. It's kind of my new favorite place.

Giving her uncle that look :)

These were the only pictures I got of this day, but there are more to come!

Highly Recommended

If you are trying to help your child learn their letters of the alphabet or at least familiarize with them, I highly suggest an alphabet puzzle. As you may have noticed, I've been trying to work on helping Tali learn her letters lately. My mom got us this alphabet puzzle for just a little under $10.00. We went through it a few times one day and she was already showing that she was remembering certain letters. Plus, I just have fun doing it with her.

She would take all the letters off and line them up in a row. Then she would take two at a time and I would tell her which letters they were and she would find their place on the puzzle board.

Here's a video of one of the first times we went through the puzzle together. She's a bit stuffed up still in the video.

We would also sing the alphabet song and point to each letter as we got to it. I would also have her repeat the letter after me sometimes too.

Dancing In Our Messes

I think we all should take a moment and dance in our messes today!

Just watch your step!

Ehh... maybe I'll take a nap instead.

Making Crayons

I've been saving all those broken crayon pieces forever for just this little project!! We filled a greased muffin tin (I think you can also use foil cupcake liners too) with all our broken crayon pieces and then put them in a 400 degree oven for a few minutes until all of the crayons were melted. Then we just waited for them to cool and there you go, new crayons!

It was exciting to try them out.

Just A Good Day :)

It was one of those weekends where money is really low, yet you try to make the best of it anyway.

Here is Tali all dressed up for the day!
She cracks me up with her added flairs to her outfits.

James has a friend at work, James Wilson, and he gave us a gift card for the movies! Thank you so much James! It kinda made our weekend!

So, we went and saw a matinee movie of the new Spiderman!  We loved it! Afterward, we decided to go to the Gateway mall and walk around. After walking around for a bit, we let Tali play in the fountains there. She was a bit unsure at first that I was actually allowing her to do this in her cloths lol.

Look at that dancer pose! lol I think she's really going to enjoy dance this upcoming fall and winter!

Another dancer pose!

Look at that jump!

After that, we called it a day. We were all pooped from being in the sun and heat for awhile and went home and relaxed for the rest of the day. It was just a good day :)

Feeling So Big!

Heh heh.. I thought the title of this post might be misleading, making some of you think it might be about my pregnancy, but it's not!

About a month ago, Great Grandma Hansen gave Tali her first $2.00. When she handed it to her, you could tell by Tali's expression that she felt really special and big. We finally got around to taking her to the Dollar Tree to spend her $2.00. We had been keeping it in her purse which Atalia loved, again,  making her feel so grown-up.

Tali before we went inside the store.

Really excited.

At the store, I think it was a bit overwhelming trying to pick just two things. We really had to try to keep her focused on picking two toys. Finally, when she had decided, we took her two items to the cashier to pay for them. Tali handed her money to the nice cashier lady and needed a little help from Mommy with tax. The cashier gave Tali the receipt and the little bit of change left over from the tax. It was the sweetest thing seeing Tali with her sweet little smile taking the receipt and change back. You could tell that she was feeling so big and proud of herself. It made James and I so happy to experience this with her.

lol I don't know what it is, but she stops humoring Mommy with her questions when the camera comes on. Makes it hard to capture all the cute stuff she says.

She also liked carrying her stuff in the grocery bag, also making her feel grown-up.

What Tali picked out at the store...

An Iron Man ball and a Cars paint set thing.

Getting to use her paint set the next day!

This was so fun for James and me. Just made my heart swell with happies :)

Kids Songs! Kids Songs!

As soon as we get in the car, Tali shouts, "Kids songs! Kids songs!" James and I first found the songs to be so annoying, but soon began to love it, being able to hear her sing along and we find ourselves singing along as well now lol.

So, here are two videos that I tried to get sneakily of Atalia singing along. I was hoping she would sing louder like she does from time to time, but I'm afraid that this is one of the times she was singing a bit quieter.

Isn't her singing just precious?!! I love it so much! Sometimes we'll just be going along listening to the songs quietly and then all of the sudden we will get to a part in a song that Tali loves and feels confident with and belts it out loudly. James and I always looks at each other and just smile. She gives us the happies.

Tambourine Time

On a boring day, Tali and I made a tambourine. It's not everyday that you can say, "Oh, I made a musical instrument today. No biggy." The thing is, is it really was no biggy.

We put some uncooked pasta between two plates and stapled the plates together. We decorated it with crayons and ribbon.

This was my decorated side... very impressive.

Tali's decorated side... also impressive.

We tied ribbons around it and that was it! Very thrilling!
