Fun At The Movies

We saw Puss In Boots with my parents. Going to the movies is my favorite. It's so fun with Atalia too. Seeing the parts in the movie that make her laugh and having her little hand sharing in the popcorn bucket is so sweet.

Oh. My husband is a Jedi.

Oh. My daughter is a jedi too.
The force is strong in my family... or dorkiness, take your pick.

It was a cute movie. Had lots of fun seeing it.

Thanksgiving 2011

A quick rundown of Thanksgiving...

I made turkey cupcakes! Festive.

Here's the turkey army.

Tali enjoying her first turkey cupcake.

Staring down her turkey.

Playing with Poppie.

Just a short video that I thought was very sweet :)

Thanksgiving dinner. Yum Yum!

My ABSOLUTE favorite!! Broccoli casserole! Tali helped me make it.

I made a Banana Blueberry Pie. It was yummy!

What's better than making a craft while letting all that food settle?

I could only convince James to make one. I think he enjoyed it more than he let on.

My favorite one.

That was our Thanksgiving!

One Of Our Favorite Things

We love going to Barns & Noble, even if it is just to hang out.

In the kids section, they have a little stage. I tried to convince Atalia to sing her heart out.

After much coaxing, she put herself out there and sang a little for us.

Giving Daddy a high five.

Atalia loves their train area!

Along with 5 pictures of Atalia playing with the trains, we also have a video! Well-documented, as always.

Lured Atalia away from the trains to go home with promises of Godiva chocolate. Does anyone else think Godiva is an awkward word to say?

Trying Out Millie's

Is this a restaurant review? It's going to sound a lot like one...
Millie's Burgers is on 2100 S. and we've been wanting to try it out.
We don't eat out a lot, but wanted to try something new and could afford. This was the perfect place for that.

Hello, Millie's...

No, it's not that nice of a place, but sometimes that's exactly what I'm in the mood for.

Their burgers were good and average... nothing extraordinary.

I did like their fries.
Oh! And they had good fry sauce!
(That's a big deal to me and James)

Once their fried zucchini's cooled down, they were pretty good!

Plus, they had 25 cent machines to buy little goodies for a toddler! Classy! lol

I know it doesn't sound like I like the place much, but I really do. The people there seemed like they had been going to the, 'Millie's just around the corner' for years. The food was nothing spectacular, but it was happy. Sometimes I'm just in the mood for that kind of a place. Ever feel like that? Having millions of choices of fun, exciting places to eat, but just want a simple diner?

Okay... the title of this post may be misleading in the way of making this post sound more exciting than it really is. Sorry.

It is about Tali and a self-given nap she gave herself one day...

First of all, I have to express how out of character it was of her to decide to lie down and take a nap...
She's stubborn. Rarely does she ever fall asleep in car rides, even the ones we've taken across the country. Or ones that interrupt nap time. Or ones WAY past bed time. Wether she's sick or had a long, active day, she fights it.

Now, she does go down for bed time and nap time pretty easily, but anything more than that and with her making the decision to do so, is non-existent or rare.

On this particular day, it was an hour or two before nap time and I watched as she grabbed a pillow and a blanket (not even her pink blankie that she sleeps with every night) and set herself up on the couch and fell asleep INSTANTLY. I was completely in shock by this.

Sorry, I know it's not much of a story. I was just in shock and it was so sweet, I thought too. I feel really boring all of the sudden.
