Poppie's And Mimi's New Diggs

Poppie and Mimi are finally making the big move!

We went up to Logan to help my dad move out of his apartment and into a house they found out in Wellsville. It's an old farm house and on a beautiful piece of property.

We found some kittens in the barn and two other cats (we think they are the parents).
I really came to like this guy.

Tali calls this area the beach because the fine gravel reminds her of sand I suppose.

James thought they were so lucky to have such a beautiful view of the mountains.

They have access to this beautiful area with a creek.

It really is a very magical area.

Muddy bum.

We are very excited to have family bon-fires here.

I would love to try to get some really nice pictures of Tali sitting on this red bench next time.

James ended our visit with a splash. Breaking one of the nine swings there, right into the creek.
He was disappointed that I didn't get it on video.

Atalia was SO EXTREMELY sad to leave, it broke my heart a little.
When I told her it was time to go she said, "I no Yike (like) it!" she said it with so much grief and pain, it made me feel so bad, but we'll be back.

We are excited to get Mimi out here!

The Pie

My friend, Allison came to stay with us and treated us to dinner. We decided to try The Pie Pizzeria. We got a large pizza and it was ENORMOUS. I don't think it looks as impressively large in the picture, but believe me, you would be shocked with how big it was.

Again, it doesn't appear to be all that abnormally large in the picture, but it was!

For some reason, with it being so large made it more fun. It was delicious too! Thank you, Allison!

More Often

We went to the park and just hung out. Pretty simple, but it was just so nice. We laid out a blanket in the shade which made for the perfect temperature. I brought some paper, markers, pencils, and pens and we sketched for a little while. I tried to sketch Tali, but she kept moving too much.

It was so peaceful.
At one point, we were all just lying on the blanket, staring at the blue sky and everything was just perfect in that moment.

My camera died, so I didn't get anymore pictures :( too bad.
I want to try to do this more often. It feels so good to be out in the fresh air and it doesn't cost a thing :)

Trolly Square

Last Monday, for family night, we went to Trolly Square.
It used to be an old train station.

We checked out Pottery Barn Kids. Golly, do I love that place! I wish I could decorate a whole room with it!

We stopped at a chocolate shop and got Atalia this white chocolate troll.

James and I both got one of these peanut butter cups, the size of my palm (sugar free too!) (Keeping that in mind for my brother-in-law, that they have a wide variety of sugar free goodies there)

We stopped at a toy store too, but Atalia wasn't behaving, so we had to call our evening shorter than we would have liked.

A Packed-Full Day

We made a trip up to Rexburg to see my in-laws play, Oliver. We had only one full day, so we had to pack it full of fun!

Tali is feeding the dogs leaves. She got the idea when we fed some donkey's at a farm once. She didn't seem to notice that they weren't eating them.

We went to BYU-I's new indoor track to get some exercise.

Tali made sure we all got a good work out. She ran two laps on her own and probably could have kept going, but got bored with it. Yes, I am jealous.

It was hard to get a clear picture with all the movement.
Tali spilled water down the front of her from the water fountain.
It felt good to get some exercise in and be all together.

We got back to Grandma and Grandpa's and quickly got ready to go the splash park.
Tali road the carousel.

Then straight from there we went to go see Kung Fu Panda 2.

Then everyone had to get home and get ready for the play. We got a babysitter for Tali (which was hard for me) (first time someone baby sat her that wasn't family) (she didn't even cry) (I think I had a harder time than her).

My in-law's were amazing! Brig and Izzy were orphans and Brig also helped behind the scenes. My mother-in-law played, Widow Corney and my fathe-in-law played, Fagin. They really were terrific and extremely talented. I really loved Fagin's song, "Reviewing The Situation."
When we got home, Tali asked if she could go to bed lol. My father-in-law made frappes, yum!

It was a quick visit, but we got a lot in and had a lot of fun!

A Word To The Wise:

A word to the wise, Antelope Island is not really a place bring a bathing suite.
I thought it would be fun to go for family night and that we would have fun sitting back on the beach and watching Tali play in the lake water. I was sorely mistaken.

The water is a bit stinky, like sulfur, but that wasn't even the worst part. It was covered in bugs!

Okay, see those dark brown spots on the beach? Those are millions of bugs! As you walk down to the beach, you have to walk slow enough to give the bugs a chance to move out of your way . . . the entire way down to the water!
We brought sandwiches to eat, but we lost our appetites.

It was absolutely beautiful though.

You can go out for a long ways and the water hardly makes it up to your knees.

A lot of people were just skipping these really flat rocks found in the lake.

They had some outdoor showers and we tried our hardest to rinse the gunk off of us (so gross).

We drove around and saw one buffalo. I recommend coming more for the beautiful scenery than to swim. There are also some beautiful trails you can hike.

I was sad that I wasn't able to get a magnet (the gift chop was closed) (oh and I collect magnets from all the places we go). I told James that maybe we can come back in 20 years and try it again.
