We tried to make it up to Silver Lake for family home evening, but by the time that Daddy got home from work, we ate dinner, and got out the door, it was dark by the time we got there :( Sad. I really hate that it's getting darker earlier.
My parents came up for a day trip and it was a perfect day to try out Silver Lake again.
Silver Lake is beautiful.
It is a beautiful drive there and there is a board walk that goes around the lake, nice for strollers.
I'm glad that we finally made it there, before it gets too cold and snowy.
I was paranoid that Atalia would fall in the lake the whole time. I kept imagining myself having to jump in after her. I have a really active imagination...
Atalia had no nap that day, which she proved she still needs very badly. She wanted everything on her terms and wanted to play in every little spot of snow that hadn't melted away from our first snow fall a week or so ago.
It was really cold in the shade.
They were watching the ducks.
Getting her nap in.
I can't believe the huge difference a nap makes for a well-behaved toddler.
We love that we live in the city and have all that it offers and also have the canyons and all that they offer as well. It's the best of both worlds...Miley Cyrus lol
