Playing With Leaves

Friday, we went outside to play in the leaves. I've been meaning to do this for a while and tried to find Atalia a rake in her size, but they have put the rakes away in the stores and have brought out snow shovels instead. I was too late. Oh well! She will have fun just playing in the leaves!

Once Tali saw me raking, she wanted a turn.

She would drag the rake behind her all over the yard.

Daddy soon joined us and helped make a pile of leaves for Atalia to play in.

Mommy got in the leaf pile too.

Good thing we played in the leaves that day, because if we had waited another day it would have been too late!

SNOW!

Tali LOVED the snow. She kept saying the word snow in her little voice for the next hour, after seeing it.

I don't know why, but it seemed strange for it to snow. Where we live in North Carolina, they don't get much snow and maybe since we were just playing in leaves the day before, wearing light jackets, it seemed too early for snow. I sure welcome it though, it makes it feel more like Christmas!

  1. Laurissa, to learn how to make the black apple dolls you can go to homemadebyjill.blogspot.com and click on "a Martha project" in her archives (on the left-hand side) and then it will be the second post down. And then on her post there is a link to Martha Stewart's website for the free pattern. Does that make sense? I actually thought about you when I was making them. You would love making them!!

Oh and I'm glad you had such a good birthday!! Happy belated-birthday! And Tali's little grey jacket is so adorable!! She's so cute.
